WHY JOIN A  CHURCH ?

1. It is biblical.

Jesus established the local Church, and all the apostles ministered through him. Christian life in the New   Testament is ecclesial life. Christians today should expect and desire the same.

2. The Church  is  his members.
To be a Church in the New Testament is to be one of its members (read Acts of the Apostles). It is desirable to be part of the Church, because it is she whom Jesus came to save and to reconcile with himself.

3. It is an indispensable condition for taking the Lord's Supper.
Holy Communion is a meal for the united Church, that is, for its members (see 1  Co  11.20-33). Everyone should want to take Holy Communion. It is the team flag that makes the Church team visible to the nations.

4. This is the official way of representing Jesus.
Your membership in the Church enables it to declare that you are a citizen of the kingdom of Christ and, therefore, a legal representative of Jesus before the nations. Everyone should want to be allowed to represent him. Which brings us to the next item.

5. This is the way to declare your greatest allegiance.
Your membership in the team (which becomes visible when you wave the Holy Communion flag) is a public testimony of your entire submission to Jesus Christ. You may endure trials and persecution, but you will keep saying  : "  I am Christian.  "

6. This is the way to embody and experience biblical images.
It is within the accountability structures of the local Church that Christians live and experience the closeness of the members of her body, the spiritual fullness of her temple, security, privacy and the shared identity of his family.

7. This is the way to serve other Christians.
Membership lets you know which Christians on earth you are responsible for including loving, serving, exhorting, and nurturing. This enables you to fulfill your biblical responsibilities to the body of Christ (p.  ex.  : see Ep  4.11-16, 25-32).

8. This is the way to follow Christian leaders.
Membership helps you know which Christian leaders on earth you are called to follow. This enables you to fulfill your biblical responsibility towards them (see Hey  13.7,17).

9. It allows Christian leaders to lead the flock.

Membership allows Christian leaders to know which Christians on earth they should   graze  " (Ac  20.28  ; 1  Pi  5.2).

10. It allows ecclesial discipline.
It is the place where, according to the Bible, you participate in the work of ecclesial discipline with competence, wisdom and love (1  Co  5).

11. It gives structure to your Christian life.
This places the Christian committed to following and obeying Jesus in a real situation where authority is effectively exercised over the believer (see Jn  14.15  ; 1  Jn  2.19  ; 4.20,21).  This is the divine program for discipleship.

12. It generates a testimony and invites the nations to Christ.
Membership enables the world to observe the reign of Christ (see Mt  5.13  ; Jn  13.34.35  ; Th  3.10  ; 1  Pi  2.9-12). The very guidelines, drawn around the members of the Church, generate a society of people who invite the nations to something better.  It is the divine program of evangelism.
