FAQ'S

Most frequently asked questions by new people ...

WHY ARE THERE ALWAYS SONGS IN OUR MEETINGS?

Singing is a way to communicate and draw near to God, whether through dynamic songs or more intimate ones. During these times of praise, everyone can express their love for God in their own way and according to their heart. While some sing, clap, or raise their hands, others prefer to reflect quietly on the lyrics.

Always feel free to express what is deep in your heart in your own way.

HOW IMPORTANT IS PREACHING?

In each of our meetings, you will hear a message that is simple, as relevant as possible, and based on the Bible. The Word of God is  useful for daily life as well as being uplifting and encouraging for the faith of believers. These messages will help you develop a dynamic and growing relationship with God and provide you with a solid biblical foundation for your life.

ARE THERE MOMENTS OF COMMUNION?

We celebrate communion (sharing of bread and wine) together every 4-6 weeks. We invite those who have made the decision to follow Jesus Christ to participate in this time of reflection and prayer. The wine and bread we share represent the life Jesus gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.

DO YOU HAVE TO PAY TO COME TO THE CHURCH?

No ! GENERATION21 is supported by people who have chosen to do so freely because they are members of the church.  Financial generosity is a way of expressing our gratitude to God who knows the sincerity of this gesture and promises us his blessing for the faithful people.

If you are new or visiting, please don't feel pressured to donate.

Financial generosity should never come from feelings of guilt or any pressure.
It is a choice that must be motivated by the love of God
and the advancement of his work.

Giving is an act of worship for our regular participants, allowing them to thank God for all he does in their lives. People also give to support the church which aims to grow, equip and organize to better meet the needs of the people.  and to share the message of the Gospel widely on the Basque Coast.

HOW CAN I LIVE MY FAITH OUTSIDE SUNDAYS?

This question is relevant. It is true that we cannot meet everyone's needs in a two-hour meeting.  There are often new people and the Sunday posts are encouraging and  arouse faith.  Above all, we want to reach new people and encourage them to  develop a personal relationship with God. If we work to make the message of the Bible accessible to all,  it doesn't mean that we neglect older believers.  We also discuss topics to deal with everyday life, its challenges and difficult times.

We wish everyone good growth in faith and relationship with God. Our goal is also to offer other edifying moments during the week through adapted programs and themed meetings. We want to share testimonies, pray together and have moments  friendly.

We encourage you to consult our agenda and let us know your needs.

DOESN'T MODERNISM DENATURE THE BIBLE'S MESSAGE?

No ! As long as the Bible, which is the Word of God, remains the basis of all our actions, our source.  And if the Message is sacred, the method remains secondary, provided it does not go against the message  and it is relevant and good.

The worst thing would be to give up Bible truths for people to like us or to "collect"  as many members as possible. On the other hand, we seek to make the Truth of the Word of God understandable in our culture and that people can hear it with good sense and relevance.

Most modern means are good for carrying the beautiful message of the gospel. We do not reject modernity in its form  but we associate it with a background  who will always come from the Word of God and train men and women  to connect with the Creator.

All forms are good if they  bring us closer to God and lead us on the path of Life.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF GENERATION21?

You don't have to be an "active" member  to participate in our meetings. On the other hand, this status is essential in order to participate concretely in administrative life and take on responsibilities. The church  functions as an association with a President, a board of directors, a  pastoral team and statutes.

A member request form is available to ensure clarity, transparency and consistency in our  functioning. Do not hesitate to ask...
